Newsletter: 2025 So Far
It’s hard to believe we’re already in April. The year began with devastation across Los Angeles, as wildfires destroyed homes, displaced families, and left entire communities grappling with profound loss.
In response, we focused our efforts on survivors of the Eaton Fire. Through our partnership with Greenline Housing, we’ve helped—and are continuing to help—secure stable housing for families who had nowhere to go. We’ve also been furnishing their new spaces and connecting them with the resources needed to rebuild.
We’ve partnered with several other vetted, high-impact organizations doing incredible work to support fire survivors across the region.
March: A Month of Impact and Community
Earlier this month, we hosted a resource fair for fire victims and their families, bringing together community partners, essential services, and a renewed hope. We were honored to be joined by incredible guests, including Mandy Moore, Drew Scott, and Jaleel White, with the amazing John Stamos serving as MC for the day. It was a powerful gathering focused on healing, connection, and moving forward.
Later in March, we held a meaningful event at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles to support their Literally Healing program. It was a day filled with compassion, education, and emotional connection—everything Civic Soul stands for.
What’s Next
We’re currently planning our June event in partnership with Foster Nation. We’ll celebrate high school graduates who are transitioning out of foster care with a graduation and resource party. We’re also preparing a housewarming celebration later this year for families who have found permanent housing after the fires—a day we can’t wait to share with our Civic Soldiers.
We’re deeply grateful for the generous grants from the Albertsons Foundation and the Pasadena Community Foundation, which have helped us expand our efforts and reach more families in need.
Thank you for being part of this growing community. Your support helps us respond where it matters most—with care, connection, and compassion.
